We left Melbourne about 2245. I drove the firs 190km including getting lost on random freeways just north of the city, resulting from communication errors between myself and our borrowed GPS navigation system.
Eventually we got on our course and I swapped driving to my dad somewhere on the Hume Freeway. My parents drove for the rest of the night, we had a few stops and I ate some magnums.
I drove again for about 100km once we were in NSW.
In NSW Red P drivers cannot exceed 90km/h, and Green P’s let you do 100. When it was my turn in NSW we were on the Hume Highway. We saw a sign saying P2 maximum speed is 100. This made me assume the red P’s are P1. I wasn’t sure if my license came under either, since they’re just victorian Ps. I stuck to 100 for a while but then everyone started overtaking me, which I took as an insult to my manhood. So I did 110.
My parents decided to go through Sydney to visit their friend Uncle Santiago from Kuwait, so we went there. I swapped out of driving about 70km away from Sydney and went to sleep.
We reached Sydney at about 1015. We stayed, ate and slept awhile at left at about 1630.
My parents drove mostly, I drove about 200km from somewhere on the New England Highway to a few 10ks past Tamworth. We got to out motel, the Hideaway Motel, at just past 2300. so that was pretty much a 24hr journey all up.
I know it’s too late but if you somehow read this turn back and head home. It’s not worth it
